چکیده
ABSTRACT The study aims to quantify the production costs of maize and sorghum crops under rainfed irrigated conditions for generation ethanol evaluate economic feasibility in different scenarios marketing price. Two experiments were carried out years 2019/2020 2020/2021, an experimental area at Federal University Santa Maria, RS, Brazil. experiment was strip plots, a randomized block design four replicates. Three irrigation depths, 0, 50 100% reference evapotranspiration (ETo), as first factor, two cultivars one grain cultivar second using 45 scenarios. use full (100% ETo) reduces liter by 15 17.89% increases 44.18 48.25% crops, respectively. For market price R$ 2.00 L-1, does not show good performance, with negative net present value (NPV) internal rate return (IRR). sale 4.00 L-1 is best scenario, values NPV 90,356.93, IRR 33.83%, benefit/cost ratio (B/C) 2.28, profitability index (PI) 3.99 payback three years. Maize economically viable all Full represent mean 204,381.68, 63.35%, B/C 2.96, PI 8.67 1.58 years, among cultivars.

Assessment of the AquaCrop Model for simulating Canola under different irrigation managements in a semiarid area
Field experiments were conducted in 2005-2006 and 2007-2008 and the data were used tocalibrate and validate yield and biomass of AquaCrop Model for canola (Brassica napus l.). Themodel was calibrated with the first year and then was validated with the second year data. Fivewater stress treatments at different growth stages were performed including fully irrigatedduring whole growing period (I1)...
متن کاملLignocellulosic ethanol production by starch-base industrial yeast under PEG detoxification.
Cellulosic ethanol production from lignocellulosic biomass offers a sustainable solution for transition from fossil based fuels to renewable alternatives. However, a few long-standing technical challenges remain to be addressed in the development of an economically viable fermentation process from lignocellulose. Such challenges include the needs to improve yeast tolerance to toxic inhibitory c...
متن کاملEconomic Evaluation of the Production Ethanol from Cassava Roots
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the prospective production of ethanol from cassava in Indonesia. The study was conducted in two parameters, engineering perspectives and economic evaluation that involves several economic parameters (e.g. gross profit margin, internal rate return, payback period, cumulative net present value, breakeven point, and profitability index on sales to investme...
متن کاملEthanol Fermentation of Starch from Field Peas
Cereal Chem. 82(5):554-558 Field peas (Pisum salivum) were evaluated as a potential feedstock for ethanol production. Ground peas were dry-milled and separated into starch, protein, and fibrous fractions by air classification. Starch-enriched fractions prepared from whole peas and dehulled peas contained 73.717c wt and 77.8% wt starch, respectively, a nearly two-fold enrichment compared with wh...

The prime focus of ethanol production from corn is to replace the imported oil used in American vehicles, without expending more fossil energy in ethanol production than is produced as ethanol energy. In a thorough and up-to-date evaluation of all the fossil energy costs of ethanol production from corn, every step in the production and conversion process must be included. In this study, 14 ener...
